A trip up the mountain and down to a seaside Minoan Palace.
This trip combines the Minoan Palace at Malia with the place were the Zeus was born.
Malia Palace is the third largest Minoan Palace and was built by the sea. Unlike other Palaces it was built on an entirely flat surface. The route from Malia to Oropedio goes through serpentine roads and at the picturesque Oropedio Plateau the Diktaion Andron cave is impressive because of its morphology and its mythology.
