Hania - Maritime Museum & Dockyards

The history and evolution of sailing in a single museum.

The Firka Fortress at the Venetian Port in Hania, houses the Maritime Museum. There are several rooms with nautical equipment and different ship types that are from Copper Age, Byzantine, Venetian, Revolution against Ottomans, Balkan Wars, World War II and Post War periods. A carefully reconstructed Minoan Ship is also exhibited at Neoria.
